BEAST Has “The Last Word” as New Single Tops Oricon Charts

Idol group BEAST proves their continuing popularity in Japan by reaching No. 1 on the Oricon Singles Chart, according to their agency Cube Entertainment on November 29.

Their new Japanese single, “Saigo no Hitokoto (The Last Word),” was released on November 27. In the first day, it recorded 35,000 sales and topped the Oricon Daily Single Rankings.

According to Cube Entertainment, sales are now approaching 50,000.

BEAST founded an independent label in Japan called BEAST MUSIC in March and began a monthly project to release a new single consecutively for the next ten months. “The Last Word” is the latest single released in the project and the song is a sad autumn ballad about a man who wishes to express his feelings but finds himself unable to do so.

Their first single “One,” followed by “Hands Up,” “Can’t Wait to Love You,” and now “The Last Word” topped Japan’s iTunes chart as well as the Oricon charts.

BEAST is currently preparing for their Japanese tour. Their agency reported, “BEAST will be meeting over 30,000 people through twelve concerts in eight locations in their upcoming Japan tour. Through the performances we hope to deliver BEAST’s unique, powerful energy to their Japanese fans.”

Yong Junhyung’s Future Goals and Thoughts on BEAST’s Longevity

BEAST member Yong Junhyung recently sat down for an article with The Star, where he spoke on a variety of topics from his time on “Law of the Jungle” to his thoughts on being a “producing idol.”
In particular, The Star asked him if there were any secrets towards BEAST, who debuted six years ago, staying together for such a long time.
“I think [the answer] is ‘not thinking about anything.’ This may seem like a ‘cool’ answer, but it’s the truth. Rather, I think that [thinking] things like ‘We have to do well’ or ‘We have to be good friends’ causes people to be more burdened. In our case, we really nonsensically joked around like friends [everyday] from the time we woke up to when we fell asleep. Because of that, every time I meet our members, I completely forget about my stress.”
The Star also asked the singer if he had achieved all the goals he had set pre-debut.
“I think I’ve started [to achieve them]. My dream was to supervise my own album from the [creation] of the songs to a concert. Four years after debut, I was able to produce my own solo-album, and I’m still [producing new songs] up until now. My goal is  to create a gem-like album where I don’t have to throw away a single song.”

Junhyung teases Doojoon on his panty status on 'Laws of the Jungle'

There’s going to be a lot of fun in store for viewers with the airing of SBS’s ’Laws of the Jungle’ tomorrow!

The fun friendship between B2ST members Doojoon and Junhyung will be on display in particular. As they are in the ‘89 liner with Jung Joon Young, the three of them had a lot of fun together during filming.  In the upcoming episode, the '89 trio kept getting drenched in the rain, so once in awhile they try to endure it, they would ask each other, “Alive? Dead?” and so on, raising curiosity.  In the end, it turned out they were asking one another if their panties were wet or not!

Doojoon said, “I did not wear panties. I only wore leggings,” so the surprised Junhyung asked, “You’re not wearing panties?” and Doojoon replied, “That’s not it.  I am wearing leggings,” to ward off the teasing.

Junhyung insisted, “If you’re not wearing panties, you’re not wearing panties.”  Even after that, the three of them kept asking, “[Did your panties] die? [Are they] alive?” making everyone laugh.

Junhyung said, “I’m still okay.  It’s soft and smooth but not moist,” while Jung Joon Young said, “The triangular part is still alive.”  Junhyung said toward Doojoon, “But you’re not wearing panties,” once again teasing him for going commando.
In the end though, the two men wearing panties were left with drenched ones, so they said, “We had protected them at their soft and smooth states up to now… but it’s all over now. Our pride is hurt.”

You can see for yourself tomorrow - it seems like a hilarious episode already.

B2ST's Junhyung and Jung Joon Young develop bromance after 'Laws of the Jungle'

Watch out y'all, because we got another cute bromance in the making in the world of K-Pop! The bromance involves none other than the eccentric Jung Joon Young and the slightly standoffish Junhyung, who apparently became the best of buds after appearing on ’Laws of the Jungle’ together.

Before the two made their acquaintance on ‘Laws of the Jungle,’ the two knew each other but weren’t close at all. However, that all changed after the two got to know each other on the program!

Park Joong Won, who is in charge of producing 'Laws of the Jungle’s Samoa edition, told OSEN on November 19, “Jung Joon Young is an early '89-er but he, Junhyung, and Doojoon all decided to be friends. I heard that Jung Joon Young and Junhyung in particular became so close that even after the filming wrapped up, they meet six times out of the week.”
Keep an eye out for more news of this unlikely, yet dynamic duo as they show off their bromance to the world!
